In our latest member blog post, Cat Dughi Fritz poses the question: What if resistance isn’t always something to avoid?

“A few months ago, I bought some sunchokes at the farmers’ market with absolutely no plan for them.
They sat on my counter… until one day I noticed they had started sprouting.

So I planted two of them in the same pot. Same soil. Same water. Same sunlight. But one grew vigorously while the other struggled.

It got me thinking about resistance.

Sometimes, having to push through something is exactly what helps us grow stronger. Like a seed pushing through soil, or a butterfly struggling out of its cocoon, the resistance itself can build the strength we need to thrive.

But there’s an important distinction:

Not all resistance is ours to overcome.

Sometimes there’s a rock sitting on top of the soil, blocking the seed from getting what it needs to grow.
And sometimes, as humans, we encounter things that deplete us, weigh us down, or interfere with our ability to be fully ourselves.

That’s where boundaries, energetic awareness, and clearing can become part of our own self-care”.

At this month’s Wellness Lab, Tribe member @cat_dughi will guide us through an experiential exploration of energetic cleansing and protection, learning practices to help clear what isn’t serving us and create a stronger sense of energetic boundaries.

Because protecting your energy isn’t about resisting everything.

Sometimes it’s about knowing what belongs to you, what doesn’t, what you’re willing to work through, and what needs to be cleared away. 🌿

📣Guest Blog Alert!
We often think about what we put into the body, but what about taking care of the ’trash collection system’ that helps us get rid of what we don’t need?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic bodywork technique designed to support the lymphatic system, helping move excess fluid, waste, and toxins through the body.
🌿 MLD may support:
• Swelling + inflammation
• Post-surgery recovery
• Detoxification pathways
• Immune function
• Relaxation + nervous system regulation
• Feelings of heaviness, puffiness, or stagnation
👐 Unlike deep tissue massage, MLD uses very light pressure and slow, intentional movements to encourage the body’s natural drainage processes.
💛 Many people seek MLD for:
• Surgery recovery
• Chronic inflammation
• Stress + burnout
• Fatigue
• Immune support
• General wellness + self-care

📖 Read the full article, written by Tribe member Kirsten Mae Austin, in our new blog series ‘Exploring Modalities’ to learn what a session feels like, who should avoid it, and simple ways to support your lymphatic system between visits. Since 2013, Kirsten has worked with clients navigating a wide range of lymphatic and post-surgical concerns, including Tummy Tucks, Lipo 360, primary and secondary lymphedema, lipedema, chronic swelling, Lyme disease, post-operative recovery, and overall wellness support.

social media activity (or lack thereof) doesn’t really reflect a community’s vibrancy. we’ve been sleepy on posting here, yes (other than sharing our amazing members’ content in our stories).
and even though we like it here on insta, nothing beats the real-life connections that we have continued to pour our hearts into since our upstart in 2013, and that we’ll continue to champion as long as practitioners keep showing up to share time, space, and magic with each other and us!
today, our co-founder @healthyself_with_cari opened the zoom room for our monthly Business Care Circle call to talk about RELATIONSHIPS in business, and it’s these moments, in anticipation of connection and meaningful conversations, that we feel especially lucky to have a community to lean into.
wishing you all a fulfilling month of cultivating healthy, positive, and supportive relationships. ✨❤️✌️✨

Micro-Step Magic 🪄 Day 5
We’ve shown up this week to help you tap into the expansive power of taking small steps to get unstuck, build momentum, and create a profitable private practice.
Today, we shared how you can make that happen in the next 90 days. Why? Because this planet and the humans on it need healing. And you staying stuck, holding back, or flat out hiding from this calling is serving NOBODY.
When you are honest with yourself about how important and meaningful it is to you to empower others to heal, then nothing can stop you from being in full commitment to your work.
It’s time to trust yourself, know yourself, be yourself, heal yourself and LOVE yourself so that you are WILLING to take those micro-steps forward. It’s so worth it!
If the next best micro-step for you is to join our next Practice Flow** live program, then head to the link in our bio to get in the flow, starting Monday! 💫

**pssst! PRO-TIP: Snag the free download “Three Things you MUST KNOW…” and get $50 off the program!

And wherever you go, whatever you do, stay magical! 🪄💛

Micro-Step Magic 🪄 Day 4
On today’s Live we reviewed what it takes to create micro-step magic to get unstuck, build momentum, and create a profitable private practice: 1) to know and honor your energy values (how curious, kind, open and honest are you today?), 2) to know and honor your emotional values (does love, acceptance, and willingness drive your decision-making, or do fear, apathy, guilt or shame?) and 3) to “back-step” your big vision into smaller steps that you’re willing to accomplish today.

To that we added today’s strategy 4) to use a solid framework of 8 Keys that strategically brings to life your business plan with ease (and how to micro-step your way through those, too).
These four magical elements create the slingshot of momentum that actualize your business. 💫
But guess what? There’s one more element to this magic, and that’s coming tomorrow.
Tune in Friday for Day 5 (our last day) of Micro-Step Magic ✨

Micro-Step Magic 🪄 Day 3
Today, we reviewed the energy and emotion values that, when in alignment and crystal clear, create the best ecosystem for creating clear next steps in your business vision.
With that clarity, looked at how to use the magic of micro-steps to begin taking tangible action on your business plan TODAY.
Essentially, action happens when your *willingness* to take steps overrides your fear (or anything else keeping you stuck).
As we highlighted, you cannot cognitively, spiritually or emotionally bypass what’s holding you back. You have to only be willing to take those things with you because you are WILLING to take a tiny step forward.
Say it with us: “I have some fear (or worry or guilt or shame), AND I’m WILLING to take the next step anyway…” Choosing to step forward with curiosity, kindness, openness and honesty is a surefire momentum-maker.
Now, if your plan feels overwhelming, back step it.
✔️List 10 things your plan requires. ✔️Next, list 10 things the number 1 thing requires.
✔️Next, list 3 things THAT number 1 requires.
🎯Those are your micro-steps for the day.
Don’t have the willingness to do that? Then your micro-step is to continue attuning your energy and emotion values, and that’s ok, too! 🫶🏼
Join us Thursday for Day 4!!

Micro-Step Magic 🪄 Day 2
In today’s Live we discussed how your emotional state on any given day impacts the decision-making in our business, and what we want to do about that!
Being aware of your emotional state illuminates opportunities that you might take to grow your business, (such as being more visible), and illuminates gaps in your time, energy, or resources that might be keeping you stuck (like scrambling to fit clients in when it’s convenient for them).
When you are aware that your emotional state is one of shame, guilt, apathy, fear, anger or pride, you can more easily notice how this leads to contracted, tense, lack-based decision-making and limited action.
When you are aware that your emotional state is one of willingness, acceptance, reason, love, joy or peace, you can more easily notice how this leads to more expanded, relaxed flow of decision-making and inspired action.
No matter what, your emotional state isn’t right or wrong. You just have to be honest about whether you’re ok with that being in the state you’re in.
If you’re ok with where you are, then your micro-steps are ones that nurture that state with kindness, rest, and repair.
If you see the opportunity to shift your emotional state to build more momentum in your business, then your micro-steps are ones that consciously shift your state to use your abundant time, energy and resources for action-oriented strategies.
It’s all energy in motion, right? So when you honor that, momentum is inevitable.
What micro-step are you taking today to honor your emotional state? Do you need to float today? Or are you feeling the flow?
See you tomorrow at noon CT for Day 3 of Micro-Step Magic! ✨
