In a blog post earlier this year, we highlighted the importance of purpose, and suggested some activities to help you pursue it. There is a very real, innate human need to feel useful—to give to the world and be of service. This feeling of purpose can bring great, lasting joy, even when it’s achieved in the smallest of ways.
That being said, not all aspects of life are immediately fulfilling, and it can take work and dedication to go through life on the path of purpose. Goal setting, an active form of purpose, can help you to maintain it throughout your life. It’s funny—by simply working towards a purposeful life, you are immediately achieving it.
