I had a great time sharing some wisdom on how you can use plants to heal yourself and to clear the space around you.

The most common medicines we use to clear space are white sage, cedar, and tobacco. We then fill a space with love by burning sweetgrass. I recommend purchasing from clear creek trading company. https://clearcreektrading.com/t/ceremonial-supplies

Tea is a great way to receive the healing benefits of the plants. I find it best to grow your own herbs and then boil them with water. You can also use organic teabags. Blue lotus is used as a sleeping aid, lucid dreaming, and as an aphrodisiac.

    Let’s start a conversation.

    – What plants do you connect with?

    – What plants do you use to clear your space?

    – Have you used the sacred plants to help heal you?

I connect with the sacred medicines of sage, cedar, tobacco, and sweetgrass. I use these at home and when working with clients. A ritual I have is to offer tobacco to the creator, father sun, and mother moon. I also add some sage to clear the space and the energy. I always ask that they light my path and fill my life with love and joy. I find that I have a successful day when I do this in the morning. I am human so there are days I am running late and forget my offering. These days I notice that my energy is off. I will then offer them the sacred medicines before bed.

I love peppermint tea. I use this tea for spiritual protection and purification. I also find that the tea helps me clear my mind to better receive wisdom from the spirits.

As an indigenous healer from the Purépecha people in Mexico, I have learned from my ancestors and from leaders from other tribes. I have sat in sacred Ayahuasca ceremonies with indigenous healers from the Amazon rainforest. I have also been blessed with helping lead sacred ceremonies. This is always a blessing because I have been there for those who are on their healing journey.

I have learned so much from the medicines and have healed myself in a way I can’t even describe. The medicines broke me apart and put me back together at the same time. I look back at each ceremony and see how much I have grown. I have been happy in the ceremonies and I also have been curled up in a ball crying like a baby. I am not a person who cries in public but that has changed. I just let go now because I know that is how we heal.

Thank you for your wisdom, Dan. And for sharing how these plant medicines have impacted your daily life. It makes me realize that I have dropped some of the rituals that support my spiritual health and wellbeing and so NO WONDER I feel detached or disconnected from spirit these days.

I needed this message to remind me of the significance of ritual and begin again today to use plant medicine to nourish my soul and my environment. I will smudge with sandalwood, sage and palo santo to cleanse my space and herbal tea to nourish my insides.

I will make a tobacco offering to the trees when I take a nature walk later today.

    Thank you!
