Enlighten Your Intelligence

True intelligence is the ability to discern right from wrong, and the capacity to digest difficult and disparate thoughts into clear ideas. Thoughts tainted by anger, fear, anxiety, and other negative emotions are not capable of channeling true intelligence. However, thoughts nourished with love and connection are its perfect medium.

True innate intelligence is not being right, knowing more things, or having all the answers—it is the simple act of accessing your inner guide to find solutions. And right now, the world needs as many people doing this as possible.

Having your own innate intelligence as your leader will make the notions and pursuits of others less important, which is crucial in a time where the collective awareness is rampant with hate and fear. Your thoughts can injure yourself and others, but they also have the power to comfort and heal, creating harmony inside yourself and the world.

Here is a short meditation exercise that will help you access your innate intelligence:

The Practice

  1. Find a seat in a comfortable position with your back straight.
  2. Begin to breathe deeply, allowing your stomach to rise and fall with gentleness and ease.
  3. Notice what mental chatter arises in your mind. Examine how these thoughts create tension in your body and release that tension through your breath.
  4. As your mind and body begin to calm, gently bring your awareness to the center of your forehead. Continue to breathe deeply.
  5. Deepen your awareness here, bringing your mind back to your forehead if it begins to wander.
  6. When you decide to complete your meditation, place your hands over your eyes as you open them, and then remove your hands as you watch the colors of the world flood into your visual field.

Reflection

Reflect on how this simple, gentle meditation practice impacted your being. Do you feel more calm and grounded, like a deep-rooted tree? Do you feel less susceptible to the thoughts and emotions of others? Do you feel a greater sense of mental clarity? If you’ve noticed any positive impact on your mind and emotions, consider integrating this wonderful self-care exercise into your daily routine and see the impact it has on ability to access your true innate intelligence.
